1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Movevero handles personal information when people visit our website, use a Movevero resident or property-management experience, contact us, or interact with optional partner recommendations. Movevero is being developed as a Canadian property and resident platform. Some features currently shown on the website are prototypes or demonstrations and do not yet send data to a production Movevero account.

2. Information we may collect

Depending on which Movevero features are in use, information may include account and contact details; property, unit and move-in details; inspection, maintenance and compliance records; documents or photos a user chooses to upload; rent amount and payment-status information; service preferences; and consent records.

The optional Movevero Path homeownership planner may include information a resident enters about a target home price, savings, down-payment goals, FHSA/HBP scenarios or mortgage calculations. Movevero's product design treats this information as resident-controlled and separate from ordinary property-management operations.

3. Demo data and browser storage

The current public demos use browser local storage for certain settings and sample records so that interactions can persist on the same device. This demo information stays in that browser unless a future production feature clearly says otherwise. Clearing browser/site data can remove it.

4. Technical information

Our hosting and security providers may process ordinary technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, device/browser information, request timestamps and requested pages. We may later use privacy-conscious analytics to understand aggregate product usage; if we introduce technologies that require additional consent, we will update our notices and controls.

5. Payments

Movevero's intended payment architecture uses regulated payment providers to collect bank or card credentials, mandates and payment tokens. Movevero does not intend to store raw online-banking passwords or full payment credentials. A production payment screen will identify the applicable processor and its terms.

6. How we use information

  • Provide move-in, resident and property-management workflows.
  • Show task status, reminders, inspection records and maintenance activity.
  • Operate optional resident tools such as rent history and home-planning calculators.
  • Route a resident to a service they choose to explore.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse and troubleshoot the service.
  • Create aggregate or de-identified operational insights.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce agreements.

7. Property manager visibility

Movevero is designed so property managers can see information needed to operate a tenancy or building, such as whether a required move-in task is complete. Optional shopping activity, homeownership goals, savings inputs and mortgage-planning scenarios are not intended to be exposed to the property manager merely because the resident uses those tools.

8. Partners and affiliate links

Some optional service recommendations may link to third-party providers. Movevero may receive compensation when a resident clicks, requests a quote, purchases or books through an eligible tracked link. The third-party provider's privacy policy applies after the resident visits that provider. See our Affiliate Disclosure for more detail.

9. Consent and financial-service sharing

Movevero does not intend to send an individual resident's private home-planning information to a bank, broker or other financial partner unless the resident takes an affirmative step to request that connection and is shown what will be shared and for what purpose.

10. Service providers and processing locations

We may use hosting, security, communications, storage, payment and other technology providers to operate Movevero. Those providers may process information in Canada or other jurisdictions, where it may be subject to local law.

11. Retention and security

We aim to keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, legal or contractual requirements, dispute handling and security. We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

12. Your choices

Depending on the feature and applicable law, users may be able to access or correct information, withdraw optional consent, change communication preferences, or ask questions about how information is handled. Required property-management records may need to be retained where a landlord, manager or law requires them.

13. Canadian privacy laws

Movevero is designed for Canada and intends to operate in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy requirements, which may include federal and provincial private-sector privacy laws depending on the activity and jurisdiction.

14. Children

Movevero is not intended to create independent accounts for children. A resident should not submit sensitive information about a child unless it is genuinely necessary for a building or tenancy purpose and the production workflow specifically requests it.

15. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Movevero moves from prototype to production and adds providers or integrations. Material changes will be reflected by a new update date. Privacy questions can be sent to hello@movevero.ca.
